Bella

Bella is in Colchester, Essex. She has had her life turned upside down due to a relationship separation. It’s not possible for her to stay with her family. She is 4.5 years old and has been in her home since she was 6 months old. She is very loving at home and a wonderful companion. She does have some issues to be aware of. When out on walks, she can become afraid and reactive, mostly towards small dogs. She loves to be off lead, and we suggest quiet areas for walking. In the home, she can be scared of visitors, so she is put away behind a gate until visitors are in. She wears a muzzle for 5 or 10 minutes of meeting them, and then she no longer needs the muzzle and is fine with them. She can live with other dogs, but we feel she would benefit from a committed person to devote time to her and make her feel secure and reassured. Her vaccinations are up-to-date and she is spayed.

Fred

Fred is in Merseyside. Our gorgeous boy has been in foster for a little while, having a bit of adjusting time since his arrival from Romania to the UK. He has settled in very well indeed and is very chilled out most of the time. He can still be a little nervous and jumpy on occasions. He isn't cat tested, but does bark at a cat on the fence. He goes for walks with other dogs, no problem. His foster also says: "Freddie has given up trying to visually look to escape the garden. Obviously will still need to be monitored. Eats well, gentle, loving boy. Can still get a bit nervous with a sudden noise. Sleeps well. No aggression at all. Plays with toys and resident dog. Walks okay on a lead, will benefit from ongoing training, especially recall. Knows his name, but other, more interesting things distract him. Occasional toilet accidents. Ongoing training needed, especially when he moves to new humans." Fred is 3 years old, 4 in September. He doesn't want a noisy home. He is fully vaccinated, blood tested, neutered and microchipped.

Miriam

Miriam is in Bristol. A sweet girl who we brought here from the cat rescue in Radauti, Romania. She was a pup born on the streets due to lack of sterilisation and was taken in for safety. She has been here a little while now and is very lovely. Her foster says:
"Miriam is a sweet and loving dog, and so keen to please. She took to toilet training straight away, and offers a paw and tummy rub to anyone she meets. As a puppy who has been on the streets she takes a couple of visits (and treats) to warm to new people, but once comfortable is a total softy. She finds young children overwhelming and would suit a home with no or older children. She is starting to walk on the lead and travels well in the car. She is cat and dog friendly (with a slow introduction). She needs a calm environment and patience to help her feel safe, but she is worth the effort as her heart is made of gold and she has so much love to give. You would be lucky to have her, and she will you."
She is looking for a reasonably quiet home. She is approximately 5 months old, fully vaccinated, blood tested and microchipped.

Jax

Jax is in Sunderland and sadly is looking for a new family through no fault of his own. Jax is a very caring, loving dog who loves to cuddle up with you. He absolutely loves playing with children, but is hyperactive, so should be around older children only. Jax needs a home that can give him plenty of attention and cuddles, along with long, daily walks to help burn the energy he has as he gets overstimulated. He can get extremely happy with visitors and jump at them for the first 5-10 mins of coming into the house. He does need some training and will make a lovely companion for someone. We are asking for just a small donation so someone can afford to take him to classes and give him a little education. Jax will sit and let other dogs walk past. He is friendly to them, but can get overexcited. He is looking for someone who will give him plenty of exercise. Jax is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is 4 years old and has been in his home from a puppy.

Leo

Leo

Leo is in foster in Newport. He is a special boy who is incredibly nervous and looking for that special human. Leo is about a year and a half old. He has been in a kennel environment, and lately, a kind lady took him home to work with him and his confidence. She has done wonders with him. He definitely needs other dogs. In the house, Leo is happy, housetrained, friendly with the other dogs, but at this moment in time, he doesn’t like people to touch him when in the house. Outside, he loves to run and play. Leo has a lot of energy and adores the company of dogs. He will let you fuss with him outside more. Leo will need a 6-foot fence as he has a spring in those long legs. He is looking for a forever foster or adopter who will give him the time and patience to let him build up his trust. He is not a dog for everyone, but he has plenty of love to give in time.
