How your dog shelter donation makes an impact
When you contribute to our dog shelter donation efforts, you’re reaching dogs facing desperate situations in overseas public shelters. Many of these animals have been abandoned, neglected, or are on borrowed time, and your support ensures they receive food, shelter, and medical care. We work tirelessly to help these dogs transition into safe foster homes, preparing them for adoption into loving families. Every donation goes directly to the welfare of the dogs, from vital vaccinations to transport costs. At Final Stop Rescue CIC in Bury St. Edmunds, your generosity enables us to transform lives and offer hope where it’s needed most.
Our Overseas Dogs
All our dogs are fully vaccinated, blood tested (including brucellosis), microchipped, wormed and flead and neutered if over a year old. They arrive with a health certificate and an EU passport.
Adopters are expected to offer lifelong homes, training and have a secure garden. Adoption fees apply.

Stella
A little girl whose mother was abandoned on the street when pregnant. Stella was born next to a railway line. Andreea took her home for safety and has been looking after her since. She is the sweetest little puppy. Friendly, playful and affectionate. She gets along well with both cats and dogs. We think she will probably be medium in size when an adult. She is just 3.5 months old, so not quite legal to travel yet.
Shilo
A little girl whose mother was abandoned on the street when pregnant. Shilo was born next to a railway line. Andreea took her home for safety and has been looking after her since. She is the sweetest little puppy. Friendly, playful and affectionate. She gets along well with both cats and dogs. We think she will probably be medium in size when an adult. She is just 3.5 months old, so not quite legal to travel yet.
Suzette
A little girl whose mother was abandoned on the street when pregnant. Suzette was born next to a railway line. Andreea took her home for safety and has been looking after her since. Gabby
A little girl puppy, one of the survivors from Radauti public shelter. She is super lovely. She is very friendly and confident. She has no fear with other dogs. Very lively and sweet. Sadly we lost four pups and four survived so they are very special to us all. Everyone fought for them. Gabby is a crazy little loon. We think she is enjoying the space in foster instead of being in the public shelter pen. She is 3.5 months old at the minute so not quite legal to travel.
Matilda
A little girl who was abandoned on the street when just a few weeks old. She was left in a cardboard box with her sibling, who sadly died straight away. Matilda would have certainly ended the same way if not found in time. She is very sweet and friendly. Affectionate and playful. She gets along well with everyone, dogs, cats, and adults. She is just 3.5 months old, so not quite legal to travel at this minute. We think that she will be medium in size at maturity.
Maggie
One of the three girls whom Ioana rescued from the edge of the river. They had been abandoned there. Thankfully, they weren’t thrown in, but they were left to freeze, starve and die. Maggie is very sweet and friendly. She is your typical playful puppy. She is in a safe foster now and getting on well with everyone there. She is around 4.5 months old. She is likely to be small to medium at maturity.
Ryan
A boy of about 5 months old who has been given to Camelia because he destroyed the lawn. He is safe and loved at the dog house now. He has settled very well and gets along with the other dogs there. He is friendly with people and likes a fuss. He’s happy playing all day with his friends in the yard. He is about 10-11 kgs and will probably be medium in size at maturity.
Toffee
A little puppy found abandoned with his mum, Lola, whom we are also promoting. He is a dear soul, now safe in foster. He is friendly, playful and gentle. He gets along well with people and the other dogs. He is about 5.5 months old and will probably be small to medium in size. His mum is small. He is currently living in a home environment.
Aza
A small girl abandoned in the fields on the edge of a town in Romania with her siblings. She’s in a safe foster now and has integrated very well there. She loves people, the fuss and attention. She’s a playful pup. She gets along well with cats and dogs. She has met sensible children. We think she will be small to small-medium when grown. She’s 5 months old.
Bimba
Found in a hole on the edge of a town with her siblings. The puppies had dug a hole to live in to keep warm and safe. They are in a safe rescue now. She is very sweet and affectionate. Playful and friendly to people. She has been raised around both cats and dogs. She will probably be medium in size when mature. She is 6 months old.
Blitz
A boy puppy who lived on the outskirts of his town in Romania with his siblings. They dug a hole and practically lived underground to keep away from the elements and to keep away from danger. They are now in a safe shelter. He is a gentle boy, friendly, playful and sweet. He gets along well with the other dogs and has been around cats. He will be medium in size when fully grown. He loves attention and the company of the people whom he has grown to know and trust. He is 6 months old.
Liam
A little boy that we took from Radauti public shelter because he was so small, he would definitely perish from the cold or from the other pups. He is super sweet. Now he is full of mischief and like a proper puppy. Mirela says he has eyes like glass, the most beautiful blue/grey. He is 6 months old at the moment. He will probably be medium-sized when fully grown.
Leo
A little puppy that found his way to the public shelter and dug his way under the fence. He was too small to stay there, so Mirela took him home. He is full of character and mischievous. He gets along well with all of the other dogs and puppies and is fairly confident. He is around 6.5 months old, and we think he will be medium in size.
Timmy
A sad story of where Timmy’s sister sat by their dead mother. Flora was rescued, and some time later, Timmy appeared in the same spot. It’s in the middle of nowhere, so he was lucky to have been seen. He is 7 months old and really friendly. He had a little practice on a lead and was very excited. A sweet little boy. We think he will be a small medium when mature.
Izzy
The sweetest little girl. She was captured by dog catchers and put in the Radauti public shelter with her 5 siblings. We took Izzy out when there was a space with a foster, and her brother is out too. Sadly, the remaining siblings died from parvo. Izzy is super friendly and excitable. Sometimes she is so happy to get attention, she can’t keep still. She is absolutely gorgeous. She gets along well with everyone. We think she may be medium in size, maybe a retriever size when she reaches maturity. She is around 6 months old.
Violet
A little girl rescued from the Radauti public shelter. She was captured and incarcerated there when she was very tiny with her sisters. We moved them out to a safe foster. Here they have enjoyed better conditions, good food and caring people around them. Violet is still very shy. She needs an understanding home who will help her gain some confidence. She is very sweet and kind. She is used to teenage children and is great with other puppies. In the right environment, she will bloom. She is small in size and 6.5 months old.
Moxie
A little girl who was found abandoned on the street by some children. They went to Andreea’s house on Christmas Eve with her in their arms whilst carol singing. They asked Andreea to help her. Moxie was only 2 months old. She is now 7 months old and is friendly, affectionate and playful. A typical puppy. She has been around dogs and cats, too. She will probably be medium-sized when fully grown.
Franky
A little boy who was born in a yard. He and his family were handed over to Andreea, where she has been caring for them all since. He is a sweet little soul. Cuddly, affectionate, playful and friendly. He is great with the other pups, and he has been socialised with the cats there, too. He is around 7.5 months old and will probably be a small medium when grown.
Fiona
A little girl who was born in a yard. She and her family were handed over to Andreea, where she has been caring for them all since. She is a sweet little soul. Cuddly, affectionate, playful and friendly. She is great with the other pups, and he has been socialised with the cats there, too. She is around 7.5 months old and will probably be a small medium when grown.
Layla
A little girl who was hanging around outside a supermarket for some time. A lady was feeding her, and she was most happy about the fact that somebody had noticed her. She liked the attention better than the food. She was taken to a safe foster where she has fitted in very well with everyone. She’s getting along well with the people and the other puppies. She’s had practice on the lead and cat tested. She is very sweet and playful and loves a fuss. She is about 9.5 months old. She will be medium in size.
Keira
A little girl found on the side of the road in Tecuci with her siblings at around 2 months old. She has been with Andreea since being rescued. She is very friendly and sweet. Your typical playful puppy. She is now 8.5 months old. We think that at maturity she will be medium in size. She has grown up with cats and dogs and is friendly to everyone. She has been around children, too. She is around 40cm in height and weighs 12kg.
Nike
A little girl who was abandoned on an industrial estate in Tecuci. A car drove up and put her out on the street and drove away. This was captured on cctv. Andreea went searching for her and found her. She had evidence of a chain being around her neck. She is safe and getting on very well now. She is sweet and friendly to everyone. She has been around cats and dogs. She is playful and your typical puppy. She is about 5 months old and will probably be medium in size when adult.
Layla
A little girl found on the street by our friends when she was a puppy. She was homed as a puppy to a lovely lady in Romania. This should have been her lifelong home, and the lady has spoiled her and loved her very much. Sadly, the chickens roam free on the land, and Layla has killed some. Layla lives with other dogs with no problems. She is sweet and friendly. She has had practice on the lead. She is a year old. She is a small medium size at 40cms high, 60cms long.
Aris
A sweet puppy who was left outside the shelter of our transporter. Of course, she took him in. He is a year old now. He is sweet, friendly, playful and sometimes excitable. He will probably be medium in size. He is great with other dogs. The person needs to attend puppy classes and give him a little education.
Sacha
A young girl found by Ioana, and she is in a safe shelter now, being cared for. She is sweet and friendly. She gets along well with other dogs. She’s quite energetic and playful. She will be shy when she has to change environments, and we ask people to be understanding. She is about a year old and fairly small in size. A small medium.
Musette
An owner surrendered a little girl, and was handed over to our friend in Romania in poor condition. She is all sorted out now and with a safe foster in a home environment. She has settled in very well and is playful, friendly, curious, loves the company of people and is a happy little soul. She is fine with other dogs and loves cats. She is a year old.
Enzo
A lovely boy, super sweet and gentle. He’s medium-sized and really friendly when he sees you are ok. He can be a little shy. When he knows someone, he is really soft and affectionate. He wouldn’t want a busy home. He needs a little education, but he’s pretty smart. With a gentle introduction to UK life, he will learn the ropes very quickly. He loves to be out in the yard playing with the little ones. At a year old, he’s still a baby himself. He has a lot of love to give someone and would be a very loyal companion.
Milo
A sweet boy who was found on the streets, abandoned and is now safe on Cosmin’s farm. He is about 1.5 to 2 years old. He is friendly to the staff and good with other dogs and cats. He is quite playful and affectionate, so dog-savvy cats only. He gets along well with everyone and is a happy little soul. He has had a little practice on a lead, but will need more.
Pascal
A lovely boy inside the Radauti public shelter, whom we can take out. Mirela says he is adorable. Very friendly and sweet. He loves to cuddle her and get some attention. The shelter is very overwhelming for him. He loves people and gets along very well with the other dogs. He is medium in size. He weighs around 10-12kgs. He is 1-2 years old.
Hugo
One of the puppies that fought to live from Radauti public shelter. He is amazing now. The puppies are hard to take pictures of because they don’t stay still long enough. Hugo is playful, friendly and sweet. A confident boy in this environment. He likes to race around playing. He is very small and at maturity will be small. He is only 3.5 months at the moment so not ready to travel.
Jacob
A very sweet little boy. He was found wandering the streets of Tecuci alone, so he was taken to a safe foster. He is the most perfect dog. Very affectionate and loving. A happy little boy. He is friendly to everyone and the cats and dogs that he shares his space with. He has a birth defect in one paw. It’s fairly common in Romanian dogs, and we call it a “Queen Ann” leg. You can see in the picture how his paw turns outwards. It doesn’t bother him at all. It’s usually due to malnutrition in the mother. He is 2 years old, small at 30 cms, and about 10kg in weight.
Oliver
A little boy who was seen wandering the streets with a wire embedded in his neck. Someone had tied it around his neck when he was small, and he grew. He took two days to catch. He has had an operation to remove the wire and is healing nicely. He is a sweet and gentle soul. He gets along very well with everyone. Fine with cats and dogs. He is a very loving boy. He is small at 30 cm. He weighs 7 kg. He is approximately 2 years old.
Hero
One of the puppies that fought to live from Radauti public shelter. He is amazing now. The puppies are hard to take pictures of because they don’t stay still long enough. Loris
A sweet boy who was found on the edge of the town of Tecuci abandoned. Andreea was called to help him. He is now safe with her. He is friendly with everyone now he knows he’s safe. He likes attention and a fuss. He’s very affectionate to Andreea. He has had practice on a lead and has got along well. He is medium in size. He is 6-7 months now.
Simon
Another abandoned soul rescued from the fields. It is likely he would have perished from starvation and the elements. He is a friendly boy and is in a safe shelter. He gets along well with the dog he shares his pen with. He likes the company of people once he knows you are ok. He is medium in size and weighs around 12 kg at the moment. He has been on a lead and walks very well on one. It is likely he is someone’s discarded pet. He is around 2 years old.
Anna
A small-sized girl on Cosmin’s farm, originally from a killing station. We saw her in there and took her out. She is friendly to the staff there and loves to play with the other dogs in her pen. She has had some practice on a lead, but obviously needs more. She is pretty good, though. She has that edge of shyness, but as soon as she sees you are ok, she is fine. She is 2-3 years old.
Gaia
A sweet girl from the Balteni shelter. She was living on the streets of Tecuci and, unfortunately, was captured. Andreea got her out, and so she is now back in her home town with her in a safe foster. She is so lovely and good. She gets along well with the cats and dogs there. Not child tested. She is very affectionate and loves to be fussed. She enjoys attention. She is medium in size, about 45 cms high. She is 3 years old and weighs about 16 kg.
Pufy
A boy saved from a kill station. A lady drove 800 km to save him and now has asked Andreea for some help in finding him a home. He is friendly and sweet with both people and dogs. He lives with the lady who rescued him in a home environment. He likes the company of people. He sat very well in the car seat when he was saved. Not cat or child tested. He is 3 years old, is about 35 cms high, a small medium. He weighs around 18 kgs.
Daisy
A girl that Camelia took from the street. She was seen a lot living on the streets and wandering around. We believe she used to visit the market. As most are, she’s probably an abandoned pet. When Camelia had room, she took her to the dog house for safety. She’s been there a little while now and has settled well with everyone there. She particularly likes people. She is very friendly and likes the company of people. She’s having Mirela cuddling in the photos. She gets on well with both dogs and cats. She is medium in size with short legs. She likes her food. She is around 3 years old. She would love to find someone who is around a lot to be with her and have that human of her own.
Karina
A gorgeous girl who was originally found abandoned in a field where people regularly abandoned their dogs. She was taken by a lady who then became bored and abandoned her in a park. Andreea took her home for safety. She is very friendly and affectionate. She loves people, is great with other dogs and is fine around cats. She absolutely adores children. She has had practice on a lead and harness and walks very well. She has a beautiful nature. She can be playful, and she can also be very calm and enjoy the quiet. She is 3.5 years old. She is medium-sized at about 40 cms. She weighs around 15 kgs.
Victoria
A little girl from a kill station who is safe now on the farm in Romania. She is super friendly and gets so excited to be out of her pen and see people. She gets along well with other dogs. She is quite playful and the farm cat stayed away from her. She loves the workers there. She is fairly small. A fluffy coat. She is 3-4 years old. She has had some practice on a lead.
Mila
A little girl who was abandoned in a field because she was pregnant. She gave birth here, and we homed one of her pups. Andreea sadly still has Mila. We are hoping she will soon be chosen. She is a very kind and gentle girl who likes company, fuss and attention. She is affectionate and lives happily with other dogs. She has had some practice on a lead already. She is fairly small at 35cms. She is around 10kg. She is 3 years old approximately.
Gretel
A small-sized girl found alone in the town of Tecuci, Romania. Andreea took her in for safety and is caring for her. She has integrated well with everyone there. She is friendly and affectionate. A very loving little girl and very gentle. Nothing too busy or noisy for her. She has a burn on her nose due to an old superstition that it will keep away disease and pregnancy. Lots of our adopters have dogs with such burns. She is small, at around 30 cms, and weighs about 8kgs. She is around 5 years old.
Stella
A small girl who was abandoned outside the shelter of one of our transporters. She is so lovely. She is a crazy loon with plenty of energy. She loves people and is super friendly. She is a busy dog and would suit an energetic family who are around a lot. She is extremely loving, but doesn’t like cats. She is with other dogs with no issues. She is around 4 years old.
Mary
A little girl from a kill station who is now safe on the farm. She is friendly, but the shelter can be a little overwhelming. She loves the workers who see her every day. She’s very affectionate to them and enjoys being with the other dogs in her pen. She’s had a little practice on a lead. We think she would bloom in a home and gain more confidence. She is 5-6 years old.
Emily
A little girl from the Balteni shelter who is now safe with Cosmin on the farm. She is a very sweet girl who likes to play with the other dogs in her pen. She gets along very well with everyone there. She can be shy to start. She has the most beautiful yellow eyes. She is small and about 4 years old. She will need a little practice using a lead, but is a clever girl and will soon get the hang of things.
Salome
​A familiar mother on the streets of Tecuci in Romania, where she lived by a railway line. Andreea made space for her and her last litter of pups. She is safe now and has 4 surviving puppies. She is a lovely, gentle girl who gets along well with people and mixes with the other dogs with no problems. There’s not enough information about cats or children. She likes a fuss and attention and has settled in really well in her safe foster home. She is 8 years old, about 47cms high, lab size, and weighs around 20kgs.
Piru
A sweet boy found alone and lost on the street and is now safe in foster care in Romania. He is most likely an abandoned pet. He isn’t very big, a small medium. He is 6-7 years old. He is good with the other dogs and fine with cats. We don’t have enough information to comment about children. He is a very good boy, very lovely, and he deserves a quiet home. He would like a human of his own. He’s quite happy in a house.
Abbey
A sweet and gentle girl who we rescued from a killing station. She’s very lovely and a perfect girl. She is very friendly and loving to people once she knows them. She gets on well with other dogs. She is about 8 years old. She has had a little practice on the lead. She would be happy living with older children. She probably wouldn’t want anything too noisy, but would love lots of attention.
Luludi
A very lovely girl who was caught by the dog catchers, and also her puppies. There was an argument on the street with some people who managed to save them all from the kill station. They ended up in Andreea’s bathroom. She is a very special girl who has had a lifetime of hardship. Despite this, she has the most beautiful, deep soul. She is loving and affectionate. She enjoys being with the people that she trusts and loves. She is fine with other dogs. She is looking for a quiet and relaxed home. She is medium in size and 8 years old.
Jasper
A little boy who is an owner surrender because the person couldn’t afford to care for him anymore. She did the right thing by him and let Ioana step in. He’s had a really good haircut and some basic pampering at the vets. This week, he will have his teeth cleaned. He was eating rubbish, so he is now on hypoallergenic food. Without the matted fur, his skin is starting to calm down. He is just the sweetest little boy in temperament. Sweet and gentle. He’s so tiny, too. He is fine with other dogs, and he lived with 3 cats. He is 10 years old.
Eli
There is this old boy on the farm who we want to help. He is originally a kill station dog. He is 11-13 years old. He is very sweet and quiet. He needs a retirement home where he can live out his days. He appears to be in good health, just old. He likes to eat! He’s fine with other dogs and the staff there. We don’t know if safe to neuter him now, but we will find out.
Betty
A really lovely girl found by our friend Ioana along with two sisters. She is very sweet, affectionate and playful. Your typical puppy who is into the usual puppy things. Eat, sleep and play. She gets along well with everyone and would be a great family puppy. She has a great time in Romania with her foster family, but there’s no place like home. She is about 6 months old.
Jemima
A little girl from a kill station who is absolutely adorable. She is about 4 years old. She is safe on Cosmin’s farm and gets along well with the other dogs who she shares her space with. She is super excited to be out of her pen. She’s had a little practice on a lead, but wants to run and play. She is friendly to everyone there. Small in size. A lovely natured little girl.
Arthur
A little boy from a kill station who is safe on the farm. Cosmin says he’s small and very nice. He is sweet. He’s friendly to everyone there. He shares his pen with two female dogs and they all get along OK. He had some practice on a lead and was fairly good. He will get the hang of it. He is approximately 5 years old.
Robbie
A little boy from a kill station and now safe on Cosmin’s farm. He is friendly and sweet, but also quite shy until he knows you. He needs a special person who will go very slowly with him and give him the time he needs to settle in. He’s a little afraid of the lead so needs help and training. He hasn’t had much practice. When he first arrived he was starved so he was grumpy around food. He is much better now, but he’d probably prefer to eat separately from other dogs. He is friendly to the workers and the dogs he shares his pen with. He’s a gentle boy and a bit anxious and overwhelmed in a shelter. He is fairly small, about 6-7 years old. He is looking for a patient and kind person to understand him and let him evolve at his own pace.
Harper
A sweet girl from a kill station who is safe now on the farm in the Tecuci area. Cosmin says she’s very lovely. She’s friendly to everyone there. She’s fine with the dogs she shares her pen with. On the pictures she is having a little practice on a lead which we think she did very well with. She’s very friendly and a gentle little girl. She is between 6 and 7 years old approximately.
Daliana
A little girl who was found with her siblings in the middle of a field far from anywhere. Vivi and Mirela found them all and this little girl is at Camelia’s Dog House. She has settled in very well there. She is friendly to everyone and plays all day long with the other pups. She seems fairly confident and very happy there. She is still quite fluffy. We think she will be medium in size when mature. She is about 3.5 months old at the moment.
Dalara
A little girl who was found with her siblings in the middle of a field far from anywhere. Vivi and Mirela found them all and this little girl is at Camelia’s Dog House. Two sisters were abandoned outside a block of apartments in a cardboard box in Romania. The locals started complaining about them. Andreea was asked to take them so she went to get them. They are safe with her and have settled in very well. Paris is great with the other dogs. She has been raised around cats too. She likes attention and playing, also a fuss and the company of people. She is about 4 months old, will probably be a small medium in size at maturity.
Londra
